Without lines, there is no direction. Without color, there is no emotion. Composition breathes life.
Sometimes life is too short to always plan ahead, and you just have to live the moment. To me, art is that moment in time, where creativity from within is unleashed and captured as something tangible for all to feel, taste, smell, see, and or hear.
I feel my inspiration comes from a form of energy that emanates from various surroundings, understanding and experiences. Through my hands and unconventional tools used, I continue to learn and grow by absorbing other works of art and their methods. Nowadays, I sometimes feel nothing is really new, but by taking bits and pieces of things, it has allowed me to create a signature style all my own.
My work is to try to inspire others - to think outside the box. As I like to say, a cube is only a box if you’re in it. Use imagination and create storylines. Use free time to be creative. It’s not just about painting, but all forms of creativity such as gardening, cooking dancing, or acting.
Although I have not have had extensive formal art education, I believe the ability to create comes from with in. Although my styles vary, as I continually learn about other artists and their works, the use of line and space are consistent. As my signature develops I see my abstract images being more metaphorical through the use bright color and line.
